White Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)

2906

White-tailed deer are the smallest in the North American deer family. White-tail refers to the underside of the deer's tail, which it raises and wags when it senses danger. They are woodland animals and eat a variety of vegetation. They are the most shy of the deer and can bound through the forest at 30 miles per hour.
