Daytime Emmy Awards Live Prediction: Here’s Who Will for Win Best Drama Series

Late last month, we announced the 47th Daytime Emmy nominations, which included nominees for Best Drama Series. Bold and the Beautiful, Days of our Lives, General Hospital and Young and the Restless were all nominated in the category. Though The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) did not release Emmy submission reels this year, the Daytime Emmys posted highlights from some of the scenes each soap opera submitted. Going solely off those shared by NATAS, here are a few submitted 2019 scenes, along with a prediction, based on the highlights, of which soap will win from ABC, CBS and NBC… and don’t forget to watch the awards Friday June 26 at 8:00 PM on CBS via a remote special.

The daytime drama earned a total of 23 nominations, followed closely by NBC's Days of Our Lives with 22 and CBS' The Young and the Restless with 21, while CBS' The Bold and the Beautiful notched 13. All four shows are up for best drama series.

Other shows scoring multiple noms included Netflix's Eastsiders, Apple TV+'s Ghostwriter, HBO's Sesame Street, Amazon Prime Video's Studio City and ABC's The View with eight apiece. Amazon's The Bay The Series, Amazon's DARK/WEB, Disney Junior's Elena of Avalor, syndicated talk show The Kelly Clarkson Show, Disney Channel's Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure and HBO's Sesame Street's 50th Anniversary Celebration each earned seven mentions.
